The L.E.O. Initiative - Financial Literacy
THE L.E.O. Initiative is a Workshop Program that is primarily geared towards College Students, but we welcome students of all ages!
Overview:
During this class we will present a general overview on how to start investing based on your current income and expenses. We will also tie in certain types of debt and strategies to pay off your loans.
What You’ll Learn:
- Cash Flow Management
- Good Debt vs. Bad Debt
- Investing
Why You Want to Learn It:
These three topics are the building blocks of having a successful financial future! We will discuss valuable financial habits that you can start implementing in your life right away. Its never too late to start saving, budgeting, and paying down your debt. However, the best way to accomplish these goals is to have a solid financial plan and to stick to it.
How it Will Help You:
This will help you because we know many students have student loans, credit card debt, etc. Sometimes it may be difficult to balance debt, along with your other expenses, based on your current income. We will provide some tips on which debt to focus on first, while still saving for your short and long-term goals. Besides debt planning and budgeting, many people in their 20’s and 30’s have common goals, for example: buying a home, starting a family, starting a business, etc. We will discuss how to get started on these goals!
