The L.E.O. Initiative - Emotional Intelligence in the Workplace
THE L.E.O. Initiative is a Workshop Program that is primarily geared towards College Students, but we welcome students of all ages!
Behavioral psychologists have researched the theory that people’s behavior can be roughly classified into four groups. By recognizing your dominant style and developing the ability to identify traits in others, you can use Emotional Intelligence to change your behavior to interact with a wide variety of personalities and tendencies. This workshop will also go over diversity in the workplace. Employees and their leaders encounter a wide range of differences that may cause conflict and reduce productivity. When you manage these differences well, this richness of diversity can create an environment of inclusion that produces strong work teams.
What You’ll Learn
- Identify their own personality style and how they react under pressure
- modify their behaviors to better connect with people of different styles
- influence the attitudes and behaviors of others
- Understand our conscious and unconscious bias
- Identify a process to make the most of diversity and inclusion
- Commit to using proven tools to bridge differences
Why You Want to Learn It
Emotional Intelligence will help you practice active listening and interpersonal skills to create harmony in stressful situations and bring people together who otherwise may be separated by their differences.
How it Will Help You
This Emotional Intelligence workshop helps you to see things from multiple points of view, how actions impact others, and what you can do to affect collaboration
